The Journal of a Mad, Infuriated, Soon-To-Be-Clinically-Insane High School English Teacher

Using a journaling format as the basic organizing principle behind the book, I, as a voice of the fed-up yet incorrigible teacher, take aim at all of the players in the educational game--the students, their parents, fellow teachers, and school administrators. None escape this comical romp unscathed, for all are guilty of mucking up modern education. The tone never crosses into bitter misanthropy, but at times, it can be rather comedically fierce. I narrate personal examples from my own experiences as a teacher to set up each section of the book. Then, I use my creative wit to poke fun at these experiences that have simply forced me to put them on paper for others to read and enjoy. These stories, and those like them being orally passed around in Teachers' Lounges all across the country, simply need to be told.

Rob Archer, who some (i.e., none) have called the single funniest author of all time, has been a high school English teacher for twelve years, a profession of which he is extremely proud and with which he is extremely frustrated.
