A Twist in the Tale Of Christmas

by Guy Palomino
Jimmy inexplicably finds himself in the world of Santa Claus. With his computer based logic he ventures into the ruthless world of Santa's evil half brother, who, unexpectedly appears in Lapland to alter the status quo of Christmas forever. He inadvertently finds himself responsible for Christmas embarking upon an impossible quest to rescue Santa, kidnapped and locked away in the depths of the earth, guarded by goblins and a two headed serpent. As this adventure unfolds Jimmy re-lives the joys of Christmas and acquires a new perspective of the inspirational gifts of hope, joy, love and peace, which remain central to the tale. The narrative is enriched by an array of sub-characters. Always colourful and expressive, the book retains excitement through to the very end. The combination of mortal and immortal provides the opportunity for an adventure in which the two worlds of the characters intermingle in intriguing and fascinating circumstances. Most importantly it enables for a story in which the message and spirit of Christmas might once again be conveyed to the reader. The story re-introduces young and teen readers (and indeed some adults) to the tale of Christmas. The mystique of the season is re-lived, whilst retaining an important message in life for us all.
